After more than a year of groundbreaking construction on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan, the Vietnam - Japan Friendship House was officially inaugurated at the Waterpoint integrated urban area (Ben Luc, Long An) on December 15.

The Vietnam - Japan Friendship Area has an area of nearly 7,000m2, located inside the Central Park subdivision - Waterpoint integrated urban area, designed to include many areas that meet diverse functions: Cultural house, restaurant, exhibition area, miniature gardens with Vietnamese and Japanese cultural characteristics...
The project is a symbol of the friendship between Vietnam and Japan; it is also a project that marks the nearly decade-long cooperation journey between Nam Long and Japanese partners.

Mr. Ono Masuo, Consulate General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City, shared: “The current Vietnam - Japan relationship is very good in terms of politics, economy and culture.
Vietnam is becoming an increasingly important and equal partner of Japan. I hope that the Vietnam - Japan Friendship House will become a gateway to experience Japanese culture in Long An province, become a center of Japan - Vietnam exchange in the Mekong Delta region, and be loved by many people."
The investor representative, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Quang - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nam Long Group, shared: “We are very proud to have completed a project of great significance to the community, as well as to express our gratitude to our Japanese partners with hundreds of years of development, Hankyu Hanshin Properties Corp., Nishi Nippon Railroad... who have accompanied us throughout the journey of developing urban areas in Vietnam over the past 10 years.
The support of Long An provincial government and Japanese government representative agencies in Vietnam throughout the construction process is a great source of motivation to help us complete the project, as well as confidence in the future operation process so that this place becomes a cultural and community tourism destination for Long An province in particular and Ho Chi Minh City in general."

The Vietnam - Japan Friendship Area will become one of the destinations of Nam Long's 355-hectare Waterpoint urban area.
Phase 1 of this urban area was developed by investor Nam Long and Japanese partners. Stretching along the 5.8 km Vam Co Dong River, Nam Long urban area owns an ideal living environment and a high-class utility system such as a bus route connecting the project with the city center, a clubhouse for outdoor sports, a cluster of international standard tennis courts; Nam Long urban area is also a destination for local people's running races, New Year's Eve fireworks, or colorful festival activities.
