On April 6, the inspection team of the Bidding Management Department (Ministry of Finance) led by Mr. Van Trong Duan - Deputy Director - had a working session with Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee on bidding work in the area.
Attending the working session were Mr. Vu Dinh Quang - Standing Vice Chairman of Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee and representatives of leaders of many departments, agencies, branches and related localities.
Here, the inspection team announced the decision to inspect the contractor selection work in the province in the period from January 1, 2022 to June 30, 2025.
The inspection content focuses on the leadership and direction of bidding activities; inspection and supervision work; the implementation of contractor selection, including online bidding; as well as the work of receiving and processing recommendations in bidding.
For specific projects, the delegation will review the entire process from preparing, appraising, approving contractor selection plans; building bidding documents, request documents; organizing the selection and evaluation of bid documents to approving results, signing and managing contracts.
The public disclosure and posting of information in bidding is also a content that is checked.

According to the plan, the direct inspection time in Cao Bang takes place from June 6 to 10, 2026, focusing on the Department of Finance and some investors in the area.
Speaking at the working session, Mr. Vu Dinh Quang emphasized that inspection work is an important stage in state management, helping localities correctly assess the current situation and promptly rectify shortcomings and limitations.
Leaders of the Provincial People's Committee requested units to closely coordinate with the inspection team, prepare complete dossiers and documents, and arrange key officials to work.
Notably, the province agreed to implement digitization of records for inspection to improve security, reduce costs and limit overlap in inspection and audit activities.
Provincial leaders also expressed their desire that the inspection team not only detects violations but also guides and removes difficulties, especially for issues such as directing contractors in urgent situations or adjusting contracts when material prices fluctuate, thereby helping localities and units to properly implement regulations and limit legal risks.
