On the morning of April 7, leaders of Quy Nhon Ward People's Committee (Gia Lai) said that after more than 1 day of searching, functional forces discovered the body of H.D. A. H - a male student who was swept away by waves and went missing while swimming in Quy Nhon beach on the afternoon of April 5.
After more than 1 day of disappearance, H's body was found at 4:25 am this morning, right at the location where H had an accident while swimming in the sea. Local authorities are completing procedures to hand over H's body to his family for funeral arrangements," the leader of Quy Nhon Ward People's Committee informed.
Previously, on the morning of April 6, leaders of Quy Nhon Ward People's Committee visited and encouraged N.N.H - a student of Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted (Gia Lai) - who was lucky to be rescued in the drowning incident while swimming in Quy Nhon beach.

Local leaders were also present at the scene to monitor rescue and relief work, and at the same time directed functional forces to urgently search for the male student who was swept away by waves and went missing.
As Lao Dong newspaper reported, at about 5 pm on April 5, after participating in the competency assessment exam, a group of 6 students from Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted invited each other to swim in the sea in the Xuan Dieu street area (Quy Nhon ward).
While swimming in the sea, H.D. A. H and N.N.H unfortunately drowned and were swept away by large waves. Discovering the incident, local people promptly rescued N.N.H. H.D. A. H was swept away by the waves and went missing.
Through the incident, Quy Nhon Ward People's Committee recommends that people and tourists when swimming in the sea should strictly comply with safety regulations, choose areas allowed to swim, closely monitor weather developments and pay attention to warnings from functional forces to ensure personal safety.
