Stabilizing the sand market, removing difficulties for construction projects
Lao Dong reporters' records in the Da River area, Phu Tho show that sand mining and transportation activities are taking place actively thanks to rising river water levels. Hydropower plants increasing power generation and discharging water in the hot season helps ships and boats travel more conveniently, reduce transportation costs and ensure sand supply for the market.

Thanks to favorable transportation conditions and more abundant supply, the current construction sand price has decreased to about 170,000 - 200,000 VND/m3, which is 30,000 - 60,000 VND/m3 lower than in May. The sand source exploited on the Da River is mainly supplied to markets such as Hanoi, Thanh Hoa and Phu Tho, contributing to meeting construction needs and stabilizing the material market.
According to Ms. Ma Thi Luan - Deputy Chief of Office of the Ministry of Construction, the cooling down of sand prices is a positive sign, helping to reduce cost pressure for construction projects and support the implementation of key projects. See more...
Gold prices leave the 140 million VND/tael mark, people take advantage of selling to avoid losses
On June 11, domestic gold prices continued to fall sharply and ended the session with a slight increase of 100 VND/tael. Compared to the beginning of 2026, gold prices have decreased by about 23.8-26.8 million VND/tael. This development has made trading activities at gold shops on Cau Giay street (Hanoi) more bustling, although there is no longer the scene of people queuing as long as before.
At gold shops, the number of buyers and sellers is quite balanced. Many people take advantage of buying gold to accumulate when prices fall, while some investors decide to sell out to take profits or limit risks. Customers said they are still considering it because the difference between the buying and selling prices is currently about 5 million VND/tael.
In addition to plain round gold rings, people are also interested in jewelry and silver products. See more...
