Striving to pilot electric tourist boats in Ha Long by 2030
According to the Project on protecting, exploiting and promoting the value of Ha Long Bay - Yen Tu World Heritage Site, by 2030, 100% of tourist boats in Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay will be steel-hulled boats or equivalent materials. The pilot electric train is considered a new step towards environmentally friendly tourism transport and harmony between exploitation and heritage preservation.

After nearly 4 decades of development, Ha Long tourist boat fleet has strongly shifted from small-scale wooden boats to modern vehicles. Currently, Quang Ninh has 487 registered boats, of which 369 are in operation; including 268 sightseeing boats, 97 accommodation boats and 4 restaurant boats. From 2021 to now, more than 110 steel-hulled boats have been newly built, replacing old boats.
The upgrade of the fleet aims to both meet the needs of serving about 3.6 million visitors per year and be consistent with UNESCO's recommendations on controlling the number of vehicles in the core heritage area. See more...
Gia Lai's export durian must be traceable
Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee requests people, businesses, and cooperatives to coordinate in declaring and updating data on planting area codes and durian packaging establishment codes for export to China on the agricultural origin tracing system.
According to requirements, each batch of fresh durian for export must have complete dossiers and data, which can be traced back to the growing area, packaging facility, subject and each stage of production, purchase, and processing. The province also requires raising awareness about the role of origin traceability for export products.
This regulation is implemented according to the Protocol on plant quarantine requirements for Vietnamese durian exported to China signed in 2022. If the origin traceability requirements are not met, the shipment may be refused import, and the growing area or packaging facility may be temporarily suspended from export. See more...
