On April 13, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Kon Tum province said that the whole province currently has 57 valid mineral exploitation licenses.
Of which, 39 sand mining licenses with a total reserve of about 1.4 million m³, annual exploitation capacity reached 264 thousand m³; 13 stone mining licenses with a total reserve of 4.8 million m³, capacity of 463 thousand m³/year; and 3 licenses for grounding land with a total reserve of 4 million m³, a capacity of 1 million m³/year.
The test results show that most licensed organizations and individuals have complied with the design scale, basically meeting the needs of common construction materials in the area.
However, before the situation of construction materials continuously fluctuating, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Ngoc Sam requested departments, branches and People's Committees of districts and cities to strengthen the inspection and supervision of mineral exploitation activities.
Departments, branches and People's Committees of districts and cities need to strictly control prices and supply of materials for construction of works and projects in the province.
The provincial People's Committee also directs the strict handling of cases of investors and construction contractors slowly, with signs of estimated price.
Department of Agriculture and Environment is tasked with accelerating legal procedures, soon bringing mineral mines to be auctioned into exploitation in accordance with the design, in order to ensure the supply of construction materials and leveling soil for projects.
Kon Tum Province requested to proactively propose to cancel the auction results and terminate investment in cases of speculative signs, slow implementation of procedures, not supplying materials as committed or deliberately blowing prices.
The province also emphasized the strict handling of organizations and individuals failing to fulfill the obligations to close the mine in accordance with the law.
