Lam Dong - Mild climate, beautiful landscape, gradually modernized traffic infrastructure, open mechanisms... will help the locality attract investment and development.

Promote potential and advantages

With many potentials and advantages, Lam Dong has attracted 119 commercial tourism projects with a total capital of more than 113,686 billion VND, on an area of 63,897 hectares.

Of these, 52 projects are in operation, 27 projects are partially completed and 40 projects are under implementation.

At Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area, there are 15 projects put into operation, with a total investment capital of about 3,047.94 billion VND.

Thereby, providing 949 rooms and creating jobs for about 1,200 workers. Each year, the tourist area attracts more than 2 million visitors. This is a tourist highlight in Da Lat city - Lam Dong.

In order to promote potential, Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee issued many policies and resolutions such as Resolution 07-NQ/TU (2016) and Resolution 18-NQ/TU (2022) to orient the development of high-quality tourism.

Policies focus on creating unique tourism products, upgrading infrastructure and promoting socialization. From the beginning of 2022, Lam Dong has allocated more than VND 5,319 billion for tourism infrastructure projects.

Synchronous planning is also a strength of Lam Dong province. The Prime Minister has approved the province's Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, identifying 34 priority projects in the tourism sector, including Prenn Lake and Sapung Mountain Tourist Area.

These plans create an important foundation for effective investment attraction and management. In particular, Lam Dong promotes administrative reform, implements the “one-stop, one-stop” mechanism, listens to and resolves difficulties and obstacles for businesses.

Create breakthroughs for development

Despite many positive results, Lam Dong province still faces a number of difficulties and challenges. Notably, high-quality service tourism areas have not yet met expectations.

Currently, the progress of some projects is slow due to difficulties in planning and converting forest land use purposes.

In particular, compensation for site clearance is a major obstacle as investors have to negotiate with local people themselves, leading to increased costs and prolonged time...

According to Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Tran Hong Thai, the locality is implementing different tourism products, such as resort, eco-tourism and adventure tourism.

In the coming time, Lam Dong will prioritize investors to build 6-star hotels, shopping malls, and high-end services.

On the other hand, the province also prioritizes the construction of large hospitals. Currently, there are businesses coming and having the idea of building a 5-star high-class hospital in Da Lat.

Difficulties of the Tan Phu - Bao Loc and Bao Loc - Lien Khuong expressways such as design documents, environmental impact assessment, conversion of forest use purposes, mineral planning... have been resolved.

It is expected that the two expressways above will start construction on April 30, 2025. This is also a premise for Lam Dong to develop sustainably.

The exploitation of climate, landscape and cultural potential will be carried out in conjunction with environmental protection. Lam Dong will build new central areas, combining multiple purposes such as commerce, housing, large shopping and high-rise social housing.

In particular, the central area will be preserved and developed, taking full advantage of the slope and height difference of Da Lat.

Accordingly, multi-purpose tunnels and semi-tunnels will be built to house large buildings underground, to build complexes, parking lots, and to combine shopping and entertainment while still maintaining green space in harmony with the existing landscape.

Social housing will be developed far from the center, high-rise buildings to attract investors. Industrial zones in Duc Trong will also be developed to exploit the maximum traffic potential of the locality to become an important unit for Lam Dong and the Central Highlands.

Along with that, investing in upgrading Lien Khuong Airport from 4D to 4E standards; improving connectivity, promoting investment capital flows and attracting international tourists...

"The plan to build Da Lat into a heritage city is a strategic direction, helping Lam Dong raise its position in the region" - Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Tran Hong Thai added.
