Accordingly, the project has a total implementation area of 18,858 m2. Of which, the wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 10,000 m3/day/night is built within the land area of 9,263 m2 of Vinh Yen City Wastewater Treatment Plant.
The two incident lakes combined with the regulating lake with a construction area of 9,595 m2 located next to, outside the premises of Vinh Yen City Wastewater Treatment Plant were approved by the People's Committee of Vinh Phuc province in a document dated November 26, 2021.
Once completed, the project will collect wastewater from Ngo Quyen, Lien Bao, Khai Quang, Dong Da wards, Thanh Tru commune (Vinh Yen city), Quat Luu commune and Huong Canh town (Binh Xuyen district) for treatment.
At the same time, all rainwater flowing through the wastewater treatment plant area will be collected into the project's stormwater drainage system and flow into the Phan River.
Wastewater generated during the project's operation phase will be collected into a wastewater treatment system with a capacity of 10,000 m3/day/night for treatment to meet standards before being discharged into the environment.
Phase I of the project has a total investment of over 430.6 billion VND, of which construction and equipment costs over 267.1 billion VND. The project started in December 2011 and was completed and put into operation in October 2014.
