On January 19, information from the People's Committee of Lao Cai province, the Department of Agriculture and Environment just issued a decision to sanction administrative violations against Dang Duong Vietnam Construction Materials Joint Stock Company (Dang Duong Company).
The enterprise has its headquarters in Group 6, Lien Son commune, Lao Cai province. The legal representative of the company is Mr. Do Trung Kien, Chairman of the Board of Directors cum Director.
According to the sanctioning decision, Dang Duong Company did not submit a periodic report on mineral exploitation activities in 2024 to the competent state management agency; and at the same time did not send the statistics and inventory results of remaining mineral reserves in the area licensed for exploitation in 2024 to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lao Cai province.
The above act violates the provisions of Clause 4, Article 36 and Point b, Clause 6, Article 40 of Decree No. 36/2020/ND-CP dated March 24, 2020 of the Government, amended and supplemented in Decree No. 04/2022/ND-CP dated January 6, 2022.
For this violation, businesses are subject to monetary penalties, with a fine of 160 million VND.
Dang Duong Company is responsible for paying fines at commercial banks where the State Treasury of Region IX is located.
In case the deadline is exceeded and the enterprise does not voluntarily comply, it will be enforced according to the provisions of law. Each day of late payment of fines, the violating organization must pay an additional 0.05% calculated on the total amount of fines not yet paid.
