On October 26, information from the People's Committee of Lao Cai province said that according to the report of the Department of Finance of Lao Cai province, as of October 17, 2025, the total state budget revenue in the area is estimated at VND 14,103 billion, equal to 104% of the estimate assigned by the Central Government, 67% of the estimate assigned by the province and an increase of 39% over the same period in 2024.
Of which, domestic revenue reached VND 8,021 billion, equivalent to 78% of the provincial estimate, 101% of the 10-month estimate, up 6% over the same period.
Domestic revenue mainly comes from state-owned enterprises, FDI regions, personal income tax, land use fees and import-export activities.
Notably, revenue from foreign-invested joint ventures reached VND 345 billion, non-state revenue reached VND 2,639 billion, personal income tax revenue reached VND 613 billion, registration fee revenue reached VND 444 billion.
Revenue from land use fees and land rents at one time reached VND 4,036 billion, while revenue from import-export activities reached VND 1,765 billion.
Localities in the province have been proactive and flexible in budget collection, closely coordinating with the Investment Management Boards for construction of the area to effectively implement land fund development projects.
Thanks to that, many localities have achieved quite a good amount of revenue compared to the provincial estimate, up to now, the whole province has had 33/99 communes complete and exceed the estimate.
In the last two months of the year, the Department of Finance set a budget revenue target of VND 7,641 billion, bringing the total revenue for the whole year to an estimated 136% over the same period last year.
To complete the task, the financial sector, tax authorities, customs and local authorities focus on synchronously implementing many solutions such as supporting businesses to recover production, expand investment; enhancing the application of information technology in tax and electronic invoice management; at the same time, reviewing and urging the recovery of outstanding debts, ensuring correct and sufficient collection, and preventing budget losses.
Lao Cai strives to complete and exceed the budget revenue target for 2025, contributing significantly to socio-economic growth, consolidating financial resources to serve local development.
