Notable cases include: Xuan Thien Yen Bai Company Limited was fined more than 1.4 billion VND for land occupation with a total area of 48.71 hectares; Yen Bai Forestry and Agricultural Products Joint Stock Company was fined 500 million VND for acts of not having an environmental license, discharging wastewater containing normal environmental parameters exceeding standards.
Moc Viet Wood Production Company Limited and Sunrise Joint Stock Company were both fined VND320 million for not having an environmental license under the authority of the Provincial People's Committee; Yen Binh Trading and Investment Company Limited discharged wastewater exceeding technical standards on waste from 3 to less than 5 times, and was fined VND540 million.
In the fourth quarter of 2024 alone, the Inspectorate of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Yen Bai province discovered and handled 11 organizations and households for violations, with a total fine of more than 4.8 billion VND.
