The People's Committee of Son La province has just issued a document assigning the Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Environment to select a supplier and prepare 2,000kg of plums to provide for free in meals on Vietnam Airlines flights.
Mr. Nghiem Van Tuan - Deputy Director of the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion of Son La province said that 2,000kg of plums will be selected, canned, and transported to Noi Bai Air Food Joint Stock Company.
All of these plums are quality-inspected to ensure food safety and hygiene certification standards, VietGAP, GlobalGAP to introduce, promote, and provide in meals on Vietnam Airlines flights.
According to Mr. Tuan, previously, the People's Committee of Son La province signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with Vietnam Airlines for the period 2024 - 2028.
The Vietnam Airlines flight carrying Son La black plum is to serve meals for tourists and export to many countries around the world. This is the lever to help people actively produce, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty.
