Kon Tum - In the future, Mang Den will have an airport, a metro line and welcome about 5 million visitors each year.

On April 19, the People's Committee of Kon Tum province issued a decision approving the MD1 Sub- Zone Planning under Sub-Zone 1 of the General Planning for the construction of Mang Den Tourist Area, Kon Plong District until 2045.

The MD1 subdivision is located in the East of Mang Den town, with a strategic location when adjacent to National Highway 24, Tran Nhan Tong road and the Quang Ngai - Kon Tum expressway (according to the plan).

The total planned area is about 4,380 hectares, oriented towards multi-functional development, including urban areas, services and tourism.

According to the plan, by 2045, this area is expected to have a population of about 94,200 people, welcoming about 5 million tourists each year.

The space is developed in an ecological direction, respecting the natural terrain and existing ecosystems, limiting concretization, and at the same time creating an architectural highlight in the center of the area.

Regarding technical infrastructure, the plan focuses on investing in a synchronous modern transportation system, effectively connecting areas.

Notably, a metro line will be built to connect Mang Den airport with key tourist destinations such as Po E, Mang Canh, Dak Tang, Mang But.

Many key projects are prioritized for investment, including urban service and tourism areas. The People's Committee of Kon Plong district will coordinate with the Department of Construction to announce the planning and implement the implementation plan.
