Manulife opens community health knowledge training program for consultants

Recently, Manulife has launched a series of 50 community health knowledge training courses at Hanoi Medical University, aiming to improve the capacity of the consulting team to accompany customers more effectively.

Manulife Vietnam representative said that this is the first class in a series of training programs, implemented in practice under a cooperation agreement between Manulife and Hanoi Medical University and the Vietnam Young Physicians Association in July 2025. Training courses will be held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in 2025 with the participation of more than 2,200 Manulife consultants. After completing the course and passing the competency test, students will be granted a Certificate by Hanoi Medical University.

At the first training session, Associate Professor, Dr. Le Thi Thanh Xuan, Deputy Director of the Institute of Preventive Medicine and Public Health - Hanoi Medical University, directly "stars", along with a team of 15 experienced lecturers.

The curriculum focuses on knowledge about common diseases such as: digestive diseases, cardiovascular diseases, infectious diseases, cancer, stroke, diabetes, mental and physical health care... In addition, the Manulife consulting team is also equipped with practical skills and practical situation handling, including: analyzing and interpreting preliminary medical records, reading test indicators, and essential medical knowledge...

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Nhung, consultant Manulife Vietnam shared: The program provides practical medical knowledge, from how to recognize signs of common diseases in the community to the skills to analyze test indicators. In particular, I highly appreciate the guidance on combining medical knowledge with insurance benefits, helping to support customers effectively and transparently. The lecturers also convey easily and answer every question carefully. The course helps me feel more confident when consulting with customers.

Through the program, Manulife Vietnam hopes to equip the consulting team with a practical medical foundation to effectively connect and accompany customers. For existing customers, enhancing medical knowledge helps consultants better answer and support questions related to health benefits payment, as well as share information about nutrition, disease prevention, building a positive lifestyle..., and help customers conquer the journey of a healthy life every day. Meanwhile, for potential customers, with accumulated medical knowledge, consultants can design insurance solutions that are most suitable for the current health of customers, contributing to optimizing costs to achieve financial goals.

This is part of Manulife's long-term vision, aiming to build a quality, professional insurance ecosystem and develop a team of "new generation" consultants who are knowledgeable in both finance and health, thereby strengthening trust and bringing sustainable value to customers.
