The first highlight of this cooperation is the coordination between the two sides in implementing the comprehensive digital payment solution mobiPOS for the public administration sector.
This solution integrates a cashless payment system between MobiFone's mobiPOS platform and VPBank's payment solutions such as SmartPOS, SoftPOS, QR Payment, Ecompay... thereby supporting state agencies, public administrative centers, and public transaction points in modernizing the collection - payment process, enhancing transparency, convenience and safety for people. This system has been successfully piloted and is ready to be replicated at MobiFone transaction points nationwide in the coming time.
The two sides are also cooperating to deploy the agency banking model on a nationwide network of MobiFone points of sale and stores. When implemented, this model will allow people in rural areas and remote areas to access basic financial services such as opening a eKYC account, depositing/ withdrawing from inter-bank, paying bills, depositing telecommunications, registering for credit cards and consumer loans... through MobiFone's existing infrastructure.
This is a potential direction to promote financial inclusion and support the goal of popularizing banking services to people without traditional bank accounts.
Strategic cooperation between MobiFone and VPBank focuses on developing an integrated portfolio of digital financial products, using mobile devices as a central contact point, including:
- Open a VPBank account, register for a credit card, and use savings services via the My MobiFone application and MobiFone Money e-wallet.
- Mobile subscriber score (MobiScoring) - based on an analysis of consumer behavior from telecommunications data.
- "Buy Now Pay Later" payment model for telecommunications services.
- eKYC identification solution through chip-embedded citizen identification cards.
In the medium term, the two sides agreed to jointly build the SME Biz Hub platform - a comprehensive finance - telecommunications solution for small and medium enterprises. The solution synchronously integrates services such as electronic invoices, corporate credit, specialized payment cards, preferential data packages, etc. to support digital transformation for small and medium-sized enterprises in Vietnam.

The cooperation between MobiFone and VPBank does not stop at the product level, but is the result of a strategic linkage process that began in 2017. In the first phase, the two sides have cooperated to deploy consumer loan services through subscribers, co-branded credit cards, incentive programs and cross-customer care.
During the COVID-19 pandemic (2020-2022), the two sides quickly coordinated to develop contactless payment solutions (QR Pay), integrate e-wallets and connect the banking - telecommunications ecosystem, contributing to meeting the sudden increase in digital transaction demand.
From 2023 to 2025, cooperation will continue to be enhanced by deeply integrating payment solutions and operating platforms of both sides. In addition to the finance - telecommunications sector, MobiFone and VPBank also expand cooperation to digital technology services such as CRM systems, e Office, Cloud, ClipTV television, digital healthcare solutions and online English training for businesses.
