Enhancing the capacity of the digital transformation expert network

On September 24, the International Training Program: "Enhancing capacity for the network of digital transformation experts in Vietnam" officially opened in Hanoi.

The program is organized by the Department of Enterprise Development (Ministry of Planning and Investment) in collaboration with the USAID IPSC project and RMIT University. At the program, Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Director of the Department of Enterprise Development, Ministry of Planning and Investment said that in recent times, the Department of Enterprise Development has been leading the implementation of activities to support businesses in digital transformation.

For example, raising awareness, consulting on roadmaps, providing in-depth training, and building a network of consultants to help businesses transform digitally from partial to complete digital transformation, improve production and business efficiency, expand market share, and gradually reach out to international markets.

In addition, in 2022-2023, the Enterprise Development Agency has made various efforts to support businesses and focused on establishing an ecosystem in which not only SMEs are empowered but also professionals are empowered, equipped with skills and knowledge that enable them to provide comprehensive consulting and support services to help Vietnamese businesses grow stronger.

To achieve this goal, Mr. Trung outlined the role and essential skills that digital transformation consultants need to develop: "Digital transformation experts require a wide range of skills related to comprehensive business analysis, strategic planning, as well as financial and marketing management concerns. These are skills in addition to the ability to design customized digital transformation roadmaps for SMEs and many other industry, sector, value chain and management concerns."

Recognizing the importance of digital transformation in helping Vietnamese businesses increase their competitiveness and reach out to the international market, Ms. Nguyen Khanh Cam Chau, Head of Economic Development, Advisor on cooperation with the private sector, United States Agency for International Development (USAID) shared at the opening ceremony of the course: "Accompanying activities to support businesses in a sustainable manner, USAID, through the IPSC project and the Ministry of Planning and Investment, we wish to build a strong network of experts, ready to support Vietnamese businesses in the journey of digital transformation of all Vietnamese businesses".
