Attending and speaking at the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the cooperation program, linking the production chain, and supplying livestock and poultry products according to Halal standards held on November 2, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) Phung Duc Tien said that currently, our country has many potentials and advantages in the agricultural sector but the scale is still small. The industrialization of livestock farming in the direction of organic farming and environmental protection is a common trend to build a modern, sustainable agriculture and meet the increasing demand of domestic and international markets.
One of the important requirements to promote sustainable green production is to develop appropriate forms of production organization in the direction of linking agricultural value chains with the application of advanced technology and production. This is both an immediate and long-term solution for the agricultural sector to continue its growth momentum and become a solid pillar of the economy.
Sharing at the MoU signing ceremony, Mr. Vu Manh Hung - Vice President of Vietnam Digital Agriculture Association (VIDA), Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hung Nhon Group - said that the purpose of the cooperation is that the parties with their strengths will work together to implement a cooperation plan, develop and link the production and supply chain of Halal-standard agricultural products for export.
Accordingly, Hung Nhon will join other members in the chain to invest and develop high-tech, high-value projects, thereby expanding the production chain and supplying poultry products (breeding stock and commercial products) that meet Halal standards.
One of the products that Olmix Vietnam provides to Hung Nhon is the Boehringer Ingelheim (BI) chicken vaccine, headquartered in Germany, with factories in the US, Italy, France, etc. This is an effective solution in preventing poultry diseases, minimizing the use of antibiotics in livestock farming, helping to reduce antibiotic resistance, limit antibiotic residues in chicken meat and eggs, and ensure food safety.
