On June 28, information from the People's Committee of Nghe An province said that the province has just issued Official Dispatch No. 7524 directing the implementation of Conclusion No. 132-KL/TU of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee on focusing on removing difficulties and obstacles for prolonged backlog projects in the province.
Accordingly, for the High-Tech Israeli tilapia farming project in Hung My commune (former Hung Nguyen district, now Hung Nguyen commune), the Provincial Inspectorate is assigned to coordinate with relevant departments and branches to conduct field inspections, review the current situation, clarify violations and responsibilities of organizations and individuals to propose handling and remedial plans.
The project is invested by Synot Asean Joint Stock Company, approved for investment policy by Nghe An Provincial People's Committee on June 1, 2017 according to Decision No. 911/QD-UBND.
The project has a total investment of 51 billion VND, implemented on an area of about 9.2ha, of which more than 70% of the area was previously abandoned for many years, infertile land.

However, during the implementation process, some violations arose in the project. According to the inspection results of Hung Nguyen District People's Committee, the investor arbitrarily built many construction items without the approval of competent authorities.
Hung Nguyen District People's Committee (formerly) issued a decision to impose administrative sanctions and directed Hung My Commune People's Committee to make a record of violations and submit it to competent authorities for handling. In December 2022, the Provincial People's Committee continued to direct the establishment of an inspection team to handle violations at the project.
Up to now, Synot Asean Joint Stock Company has dismantled and repaired many violating items as requested by competent authorities.

Talking to reporters, Mr. Nguyen Nhu Y, General Director of Synot Asean Joint Stock Company, said: "During the project implementation process, the enterprise has deployed tilapia farming in accordance with the approved area. In addition, some decorative items are being implemented on commercial service land, the enterprise hopes that competent authorities will consider creating conditions for the enterprise to create added value, attract tourism and create jobs for workers".
According to the assessment of local people, the project has contributed to "revving" the abandoned land for many years, creating jobs for workers. However, the arbitrary construction of unlicensed items, using land exceeding the permitted area has affected state management and created inadequacies in project implementation.
The Provincial People's Committee directed the Provincial Inspectorate to conduct a comprehensive inspection and review to clearly identify violations, propose a plan to handle them thoroughly, ensure legal regulations and create conditions for projects to develop for the right purpose.
