According to Lao Dong Newspaper, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on June 2, in Dien Bien Phu City, many shops and kiosks were closed, sparking many speculations about the cause.
Accordingly, at places where people shop such as Noong Bua market, Center 1 market or along the main road of Vo Nguyen Giap, it is not difficult to see the scene of "closed doors and bolts" occurring at many stores.

Through observation, these stores belong to many different fields but mainly focus on product lines such as: household appliances, beauty facilities and children's fashion...
A trader at Noong Bua market said: "I heard that there was about to be an inspection from the authorities on the origin of goods, documents... I temporarily closed for a few days to feel secure".

This trader added that he could close the store for about ten days before reopening for sale.
A female saleswoman at Noong Bua market said: "Shops around here are also closing their doors. From June 2, I temporarily stopped selling because the restaurant was closed."
At Him Lam Plaza Shopping Center, some rental booths also suddenly closed, while many opened to tenants with special incentives.
A trader who has been here for many years has not hidden his famous sighing: "In the past, this area had to have nearly a hundred households doing business, now there are only about 20 households left. From beginning to end, it looks as deserted as Ba Danh Pagoda".

"On lucky days, I get 4-5 customers, and some days I sit all day and can't sell anything. For the past 3-4 years, many businesses have only tried to earn enough money to rent premises, usually holding back" - the trader said.
Previously, during a surprise inspection of pharmaceutical, health protection food, milk businesses... from April 24 to May 16, in Dien Bien province, 8/24 establishments were found to have violations, including dozens of products of unknown origin, not ensuring conditions for sale on the market.

However, the authorities did not announce the names and business addresses of all these establishments, causing many people to feel insecure.
Mr. Tran Ngoc Diep - Deputy Chief Inspector of the Department of Health of Dien Bien Province, Head of the Inspection Delegation - said: "According to the regulations, the violations of these businesses are not to the extent that they have to announce their names and addresses, so the inspection team only handled in accordance with the regulations and requires self -destruction facilities in the presence of functional forces."

Faced with the above situation, Dien Bien province has issued a peak plan to combat smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights. Accordingly, the subjects of inspection are organizations and individuals operating in the production, trading of traditional services and e-commerce.
Focus on organizations and individuals producing and trading medicine, milk, food and health protection foods. The peak plan will be implemented from May 22 to June 15. And throughout the period from June 16 to the end of 2025, when there are instructions from superiors, consumer feedback or recommendations and proposals from inspection team members.
