According to statistics from the Hai Phong City Labor Federation, more than 500 businesses suffered losses in facilities, machinery, equipment, and goods estimated at thousands of billions of VND. Of these, about 100 businesses suffered heavy losses.
Mr. Cao Chi Cuoi - Chairman of the Board of Directors of CNC Gia Nghia Co., Ltd. (Vinh Bao district) - said that storm No. 3 caused the entire factory of about 5,000m2 of the company on National Highway 10 (Tien Cuong commune) to collapse, machinery, equipment, goods, and accessories were also severely damaged, with total estimated damage of up to 4 billion VND.
“We also hope that the government and the city will have a mechanism to support businesses affected by storm No. 3, such as tax incentives and reduced loan interest rates, so that businesses can quickly recover production after the storm,” Mr. Cuoi suggested.
Recently, Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Tien Chau directed the city's functional agencies to find solutions to support farmers and businesses whose production was damaged after the storm. In the immediate future, research should be done to increase the capital entrusted to the Social Policy Bank to lend to businesses and households to promptly restore production, consider debt rescheduling, debt extension, debt cancellation, and continued lending to borrowers who suffered damage after storm No. 3.
Banks are considering measures to support and resolve difficulties for customers, such as restructuring debt repayment periods, considering interest rate exemptions and reductions, and continuing to provide new loans to restore production for customers affected by the storm.
Relevant agencies study preferential mechanisms for taxes, electricity and water bills; remove difficulties in policies for paying salaries and social insurance for employees; insurance companies speed up the appraisal and insurance compensation process for businesses damaged by the storm. The city also directs to delay and postpone the progress of inspection and examination teams that are currently deployed; for teams that have not yet deployed, the time will be adjusted to early 2025...
