The Urban Area Project of Group 4, Quynh Lam in Hoa Binh Ward has just been approved by the People's Committee of Phu Tho province with a total estimated capital of more than 1,400 billion VND.
According to Decision No. 2063, the project has an area of about 20.22 hectares, with an expected population of more than 3,400 people. The project is implemented in the form of bidding to select investors, with a progress lasting until 2030, including technical infrastructure systems, social infrastructure, townhouses, villas and a 15-storey mixed-use building.
In late December, according to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters in Hoa Binh ward, many people expect the project to open up new development space for the area, while creating more jobs during the construction process and when the urban area comes into operation.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong (42 years old, Hoa Binh ward) said: "When there is a new urban area with synchronous investment in infrastructure, the whole area will change a lot. In particular, during the construction period, many unskilled workers, food and beverage services, etc. will be needed. Local people will have more job opportunities, increase their income, and not have to work far away as before".
Sharing the same view, Mr. Tran Van Minh (50 years old, a long-time resident of Hoa Binh ward) said that the project not only affects the urban appearance but also creates momentum for local economic development.
"The construction process and later the formation of a new residential area will lead to many services and trade development. People really hope that the project will be implemented on schedule to soon promote efficiency, create jobs and improve their lives," said Mr. Minh.
Mr. Nguyen Van Linh (a real estate trader) assessed that the segment of synchronized urban areas in Hoa Binh ward is currently not much, while the demand for real estate and medium and long-term investment is increasing.
The project with a scale of more than 1,400 billion VND, if selected with a capable investor and implemented in accordance with the plan, will create a new price level and living standards for the area.
Not only in the real estate sector, the tourism - service industry also hopes that the project will contribute to the completion of the urban ecosystem, creating more attraction for Phu Tho.

Mr. Pham Tuan Trung - Director of Tay Bac Tourism Company informed that the urban area project is located in Hoa Binh ward (the locality with the largest population in Phu Tho province with about 79,000 people), and is located near Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant, a destination with great tourism attraction in the midland and mountainous areas of the North.
According to Mr. Trung, the formation of a new urban area, with synchronous investment in technical infrastructure and social infrastructure, will contribute to promoting local tourism development.
"When the city is developed properly, commercial services, accommodation, food and entertainment will have conditions to expand, improving the quality of tourism services," Mr. Trung assessed.
