On April 8, Mr. Tran Duy Dong - Chairman of Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee had a working session with Mr. Sakate Atasuki - Vice Chairman of Meiko Group of Japan.
At Song Da Left Bank Industrial Park, Phu Tho province, the Group has a factory project to manufacture and assemble electronic printed circuit boards and electronic products; lease factories; supply purified water for production with a total investment of 350 million USD.
The project is implemented in 2 phases, of which phase 1 has been put into operation from the second quarter of 2025; phase 2 is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2026.
To date, the construction of factories, infrastructure and installation of equipment in phase 1 have been basically completed.
Leaders of Meiko Group proposed that Phu Tho province pay attention to researching to increase the capacity of Hoa Binh 110kV substation from 40 MVA to 63 MVA and soon deploy investment when conditions are met to ensure stable power supply for businesses.
Regarding the expected implementation of Meiko Group's high-tech electronics production project in Yen Quang Industrial Park, leaders of Meiko Group proposed that the province pay attention to directing departments, branches, and related units to create all favorable conditions for the project to be started in June 2026.
At the working session, Chairman of Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee Tran Duy Dong directed departments, agencies, branches, and related units to ensure stable power supply for the Group's existing projects in the Song Da Left Bank Industrial Park.
Along with that, assign the Management Board of Industrial Parks of the province to guide the partial adjustment of the construction plan of the 110kV substation to be completed before April 30. The investor of KCB Left bank of the Da River should soon invest in building the substation as required by the investor.
Regarding the expected implementation of Meiko Group's high-tech electronics production project in Yen Quang Industrial Park, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Group to direct relevant agencies and units to soon complete the dossier requesting investment policy approval for the project.
Departments, boards, and branches of the province coordinate to ensure the quality of electricity supply to serve the production of enterprises. The Yen Quang Industrial Park Management Board coordinates with investors to have an investment plan to build a new transformer station and agree on an investment plan before April 30.
At the same time, relevant departments, branches, and localities coordinate to guide on construction investment procedures; fire prevention and fighting; site clearance; monitor and urge regular progress reports to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for timely direction.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Duy Dong emphasized that Meiko Group's project is a high-tech industrial project that needs to be included in the green channel mechanism to focus on supporting project implementation in the fastest time.
