Since the beginning of the year, the Provincial Market Management Department has inspected 192 business organizations and individuals and handled 180 administrative violations, collecting more than 2.4 billion VND to the budget.
Of which, the authorities discovered 18 cases of trading in smuggled goods, 12 cases of infringing on intellectual property rights, 95 cases of violating food safety, 74 cases of trading in goods of unknown origin, 27 cases of violating price lists and 34 other violations.
The total value of confiscated goods was over 1.7 billion VND; the amount of goods that had to be destroyed was over 1 billion VND; the proceeds from the sale of confiscated goods reached over 1 billion VND.
Currently, the Department has strengthened market inspection and control, while promoting propaganda and dissemination of commercial laws.
Business establishments are allowed to sign a commitment to strictly comply with regulations, not to smuggle, trade in counterfeit goods, poor quality goods, goods of unknown origin.
In addition, the Department also publicly disclosed hotline phone numbers at restaurants and supermarkets to receive feedback from people.
