In recent years, many localities in Quang Ninh have proactively included agricultural product display and promotion activities within the framework of traditional festivals. This approach not only increases the attraction of events but also contributes to building brands and expanding output for local products.
In the Van Don special zone, the Van Don Orange Festival is maintained annually, associated with garden visits, experiencing orange picking, and learning about the care and harvesting process.
The festival is an opportunity for gardeners to connect directly with consumers and businesses.

Van Don currently has 271ha of oranges, of which about 170ha is concentrated in Van Yen. In 2025, orange production is estimated to reach about 600 tons.
Van Yen oranges are being built a brand associated with experiential tourism by the locality; the product has been recognized as an OCOP product and consumed in many localities inside and outside the province.
Mr. Nguyen Van Phuoc (village 10/10, Van Don) said that his family grows about 3 hectares of oranges. In the morning of the opening ceremony of the 2025 orange festival alone, his family sold more than 6 tons of oranges. After visiting the garden, some businesses in Hanoi also agreed to purchase about 8 tons of oranges per year.

In Tien Yen commune, every year the "King of Chicken" contest is organized in conjunction with cultural and sports events at the beginning of spring.
On March 1st, the "King of Chicken" contest was held within the framework of the Dong Dinh Temple Festival, to promote local chicken breeds.
Tien Yen chicken is a famous native chicken breed of the Northeast region, associated with Tien Yen (Quang Ninh). For a long time, this chicken breed has been considered one of the typical specialties of the province, often appearing during holidays and Tet and becoming the main OCOP product of the locality. The total annual chicken production is about over 1.3 million heads.
At the "King of Chicken" contest program, the Organizing Committee selected and awarded titles such as King of Chicken, Miss Chicken, Beautiful Chicken Couple. The contest attracted 20 cooperatives and businesses to participate.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Tam (Tien Yen) said that before, tourists passing through the area often stopped to buy Tien Yen chickens as gifts. However, since the Hai Phong - Mong Cai expressway went into operation, the number of vehicles circulating on National Highway 18 through Tien Yen has decreased significantly. Therefore, the King of Chicken contest has become a very important product introduction channel for chicken farmers, attracting the attention of partners and consumers.
In addition to the above events, many local agricultural products are also introduced at the Golden Camellia Tea Festival, Hoa So Festival, OCOP fairs, and culture and tourism week organized in many localities in the province.

Reality shows that when agricultural products are placed in the festival space, the value of products increases thanks to the experience factor and accompanying cultural stories. Linking agricultural product promotion with festivals is also in line with the development orientation of agricultural tourism and community tourism of Quang Ninh province, contributing to product diversification and promoting the economy of rural areas.
