Shopee accompanies Vietnamese SMEs to accelerate digital transformation and online exports

Shopee officially announced a series of long-term initiatives to help Vietnamese businesses digitally transform, improve operational capacity and expand the regional market.

Expanding opportunities for local products

Through the "Shopee Local Rise - Local Breakthrough" initiative, Shopee accompanies localities to promote e-commerce (EC) development plans and improve digital capacity for SMEs, cooperatives and business households.

In Ho Chi Minh City, within the framework of the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", Shopee has coordinated with the Department of Industry and Trade to implement the program "Vietnamese goods I love", helping businesses reach consumers nationwide through e-commerce. This year, the program continues to be promoted with a monthly regular livestream series promoting genuine Vietnamese brands and products.

In Hanoi, within the framework of the program "Digital Booth - Elevating the Capital's Entrepreneurs", Shopee coordinates with departments and branches to implement the "Hanoi Capital Product Booth", expected to be launched in 2026. The program aims to expand digital distribution channels for OCOP products and Hanoi's strong products, while creating conditions for businesses to develop online business activities more methodically and effectively.

Supporting Vietnamese businesses" to improve e-commerce operation standards

Supporting Vietnamese Businesses" (Shopee Enables SMEs) is a prominent initiative implemented by Shopee in coordination with the Vietnam E-Commerce Association (VECOM), aiming to form an ecosystem to support and connect markets, creating a solid foundation for SMEs to join the digital economy. In 2026, the initiative will continue to be expanded in scale and scope of support, in order to meet the diverse needs of the Vietnamese business community.

In addition to a team of experts from Shopee Academy, this year's program also has the participation of Shopee Enablers - operating partners with rich experience in booth management, marketing, logistics and livestreaming. This not only helps build a suitable training roadmap, closely following needs, but also creates conditions for businesses to directly apply knowledge to campaigns and sales strategies on e-commerce.

Expanding regional markets through online exports

As businesses gradually consolidate their positions in the domestic market, cross-border e-commerce becomes the next step in the growth journey. Through the "Shopee EZ Exports - Vietnam Everywhere" program, businesses will have the opportunity to reach millions of ASEAN consumers, opening up new revenue sources and diversifying customer base.

It is expected that the "Vietnamese Booth" on Shopee International will be launched in the second quarter of this year, acting as a centralized space to help businesses connect with digital consumers in Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand.

In parallel, training activities to improve digital export capacity as well as digital trade promotion campaigns such as Vietnam Digital Export Week or ASEAN Sale with Vietnam Brand contribute to increasing the recognition of Vietnamese products, expanding export scale and improving competitiveness in the regional market.
