According to the report of the People's Committee of Hoa Binh province, the gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in the first 6 months of 2025 is estimated to increase by 9.99% over the same period in 2024. This is the highest increase since 2020, showing the strong recovery and development of the local economy after a period affected by epidemics and market fluctuations.
The industrial and construction sector continues to play a leading role with a growth symbol of 17.15%. This result reflects the effectiveness of new investment projects, especially in the fields of production, manufacturing and energy, along with the ability to recover the construction of infrastructure and technical works.
The service sector recorded an increase of 6.47%, showing a stable recovery trend, especially in the commercial, transportation and tourism sectors that were once heavily affected by decreased household spending and fluctuations in prices. Meanwhile, the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector increased by 3.19%, continuing to play an important supporting role in ensuring ecology, food security and social stability.
Despite achieving positive results, the People's Committee of Hoa Binh province also pointed out a number of problems that need to be resolved, such as the slow progress of public investment disbursement, small and medium-sized enterprises facing many difficulties in accessing capital and the market. Some important programs such as new rural construction and OCOP product development show signs of stagnation.
To continue maintaining growth momentum, in the coming time, Hoa Binh province is determined to focus on key solutions such as promoting administrative reform, unblocking barriers for businesses, developing synchronous infrastructure, accelerating digital transformation and effectively exploiting the potential in industry, high-tech agriculture and eco-tourism.
