During the working trip to Australia from August 10 to 16, the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province coordinated with the Business Association of Australia (VBAA) to organize a conference to promote investment, trade and tourism in Melbourne city. The event attracted more than 80 businesses of the Vietnam - Australia Business Association, opening up many opportunities for economic, trade and tourism cooperation.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Lam emphasized that the cooperative relationship between Tay Ninh and Australian localities is increasingly developing, in which political and economic cooperation plays a fundamental role, promoting common growth.
He affirmed that Tay Ninh is always ready to cooperate in the spirit of goodwill, mutual benefit and towards a stable, long-term cooperation mechanism with Australian businesses and authorities, contributing to deepening the Vietnam - Australia relationship.

According to Deputy Director of the Tay Ninh Department of Finance Tran Van Tuoi, the province's economic scale reached more than 13.5 billion USD, ranking 10th in the country. By 2030, Tay Ninh is expected to be in the leading group in developing industrial parks and clusters with 59 parks and 82 clusters, with a total area of over 21,300 hectares. Currently, there are more than 1,000 hectares of clean land ready to receive the project, aiming to become a leading industrial - urban - service center in the Southern region.
At the conference, many Vietnamese enterprises introduced their potential and proposed cooperation with Australia. Mr. Duong Long Thanh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Thang Loi Group, proposed to support Australian businesses to access the Vietnamese market, connect distribution and exploit domestic markets. Units such as IMG Hue, Thanh Thanh Cong Tay Ninh, and the Royal Bank of Vietnam expressed their desire to cooperate in industry, urban areas, trade, energy, and high-tech agriculture. Long An International Port representative introduced an ecosystem including seaports, industrial parks, urban areas, facilitating cargo transit between Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces.
At the end of the program, Vice Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Lam and delegates witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Tay Ninh Young Entrepreneurs Association and the Business Association in Australia, creating a foundation to promote investment, trade and tourism connections between the two sides in the coming time.
