Thanh Hoa handles 487 market violations, collecting more than 8.6 billion VND in 6 months

Thanh Hoa - In the first 6 months of 2026, the Market Management force handled 487 violations, transferring 16 cases with criminal signs to the investigating agency.

On July 13, information from Thanh Hoa Market Management Sub-Department said that in the first 6 months of 2026, the unit has strengthened market inspection and control, focusing on acts of smuggling, trade fraud, trading in counterfeit goods, goods of unknown origin and goods infringing intellectual property rights.

Through inspection of 616 cases, functional forces have handled 487 violations. Among them, 16 cases with signs of crime have been transferred to the investigating agency for further verification and handling according to regulations.

The total amount collected and contributed to the state budget reached more than 8.6 billion VND, equivalent to 96% of the emulation target for 2026. The value of goods destroyed and remedial measures applied reached more than 8.2 billion VND.

The inspections are focused on areas with high risk of violations such as food safety, e-commerce, conditional business goods, counterfeit goods and goods infringing intellectual property rights.

Along with inspection work, Thanh Hoa Market Management Sub-Department has posted 184 news, articles, and reports to propagate and disseminate laws; maintained a hotline to receive feedback from people and businesses about signs of violations in the market.

According to the assessment of Thanh Hoa Department of Industry and Trade, inspection and handling activities in the past time have contributed to preventing violating goods from circulating in the market, protecting consumer rights and a healthy business environment.

In the last 6 months of 2026, the Thanh Hoa Market Management force will continue to strengthen local management, inspect business activities in the e-commerce environment and coordinate with functional forces to handle smuggling, trade fraud, production and trading of counterfeit goods.
