Ms. Dang Phuong Trinh (Binh Thanh ward) said: "This year's New Year holiday is quite long, so my family takes advantage of going to a shopping center. Both shopping and eating, the atmosphere is very bustling. Many stores have promotions, so spending is also more comfortable.


Fashion, cosmetics, and gift business areas attract a large number of customers thanks to many discount programs of up to 75%. Meanwhile, food areas at many shopping centers are often crowded, especially at noon and evening.


Mr. Cao Bach - representative of a fashion store at Vincom Dong Khoi said: "The number of customers during this Tet holiday is expected to increase by about double compared to normal days. The revenue mainly comes from early-year discount programs, customers shop a lot but focus on essential and fashion items.
Not only people in Ho Chi Minh City, a large number of domestic and foreign tourists also visit shopping centers, especially in the city center area. New year decoration spaces and check-in areas attract a large number of young people, contributing to creating a vibrant atmosphere in the early days of the year.



At supermarkets, goods serving the holidays are fully prepared by retail businesses, from food, beverages to consumer goods, fashion. Prices are generally stable, there is no shortage of goods or sudden price increases.
In general, prices have not increased compared to normal days, goods are sold quite diversely, so I find shopping quite comfortable. The supermarket also has many promotions, so I take advantage of shopping for necessary items in the near future to save costs and prepare fully for my family during Tet" - Ms. Ha Thi Anh, living in Tan Son Hoa ward, shared.
According to retail businesses, increased purchasing power during the New Year holiday is a positive sign, creating momentum for the goods market to enter the peak period before the Lunar New Year. With abundant supply and stable prices, the Ho Chi Minh City retail market is expected to continue to be vibrant in the coming weeks.
