Hoa Hiep Bac Market (Hai Van Ward, Da Nang City) was built on the resettlement area north of the College of Transport II. This is a project approved by the City People's Committee for investment from the end of 2022 and started construction in July 2024 with a total capital of nearly 19.8 billion VND.
The Hoa Hiep Bac market project is invested with a scale of a class 3 market; including main items such as: a 1-storey dry market block with an area of 1,314m2, expected to be arranged for about 86 business households and offices of the market management board; a 1-storey wet market block with an area of about 700m2, expected to be arranged for 72 business locations, auxiliary items including parking lot, internal traffic roads, drainage, etc.
The Hoa Hiep Bac market project was built to replace temporary markets in the ward including Kim Lien market, Thuy Tu market and Vat Tu market.
The construction and completion time of the Hoa Hiep Bac market project is from 2023-2024. The market is expected to be put into use in the first quarter of 2025.
However, according to actual records in September 2025, the market items have not yet come into business.
"We hope the market will be completed and put into operation soon to have a stable trading place. The worrying thing is that the market is located in a sparsely populated residential area, on the other side of the road, afraid that there will be no buyers," a trader at Vat Tu market shared.

Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, the leader of Hai Van Ward People's Committee said that there is currently no specific time to put the market into operation due to some problems. However, the authorities have implemented a plan, requesting the construction unit to hand over the project soon, and at the same time urging relevant units to complete it on schedule so that the market can be put into operation soon.
When Hoa Hiep Bac market comes into operation, traders who are trading at temporary markets in the area will have a stable place to do business, ensuring safe and long-term conditions.
Regarding the concerns of traders about the market location in sparsely populated residential areas, this leader said that the ward will create conditions for traders who need to register to enter the new market to do business, while traders who do not need to register will continue to do business at the old location before.
