On May 26, Vietjet and Airbus Aircraft Manufacturing Group signed a new purchase agreement for 20 new wide-body A330neo (A330-900), contributing to promoting economic cooperation turnover between Vietnam - France and Europe, while serving the airline's new development plan in the next decade.
The agreement was solemnly handed over by both sides in the presence of President Luong Cuong and French President Emmanuel Macron during their state visit to Vietnam from May 25-27.
This long-term order increases the total number of A330neo wide-body aircraft to 40 units, supporting Vietjet's existing international flight expansion plan, allowing the airline to increase flights on high-demand routes across the Asia-Pacific region, as well as launch new long-haul flights to Europe in the future.
The A330-900 is equipped with the latest Rolls-Royce Trent 7,000 engine, capable of continuous flight of up to 13,300 km. The Airspace cabin design sets new standards for comfort. Open personal space, large storage compartment above, new generation lighting system, accompanied by entertainment and connection applications.
Since the establishment of bilateral relations, Vietnam and France have always made their mark in trade relations with impressive numbers. In particular, the long-term strategic cooperation between Vietjet and Airbus has contributed to trade turnover, promoted tourism and joint investment between the two countries, and created more jobs for the French people.
This is also a concrete step that demonstrates the company's commitment to long-term investment, sustainable development and contributing to connecting the economy, culture and tourism between Vietnam and international partners.

Airbus International President Wouter van Wersch assessed Vietjet as having affirmed its position as one of the fastest growing airlines in the world. He also expressed his pride when the airline chose the A330neo as a wide-body aircraft to continue the successful journey.
As of the end of April, the A330 aircraft line has had more than 1,800 orders from more than 130 customers worldwide. The A330neo can operate on up to 50% of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) mixing, aiming for a 100% chance of using SAF by 2030.
Vietjet currently operates an international flight network to Australia, India, and Kazakhstan using A330 wide-body aircraft. These aircraft offer many convenient options for customers, especially the business class with outstanding culinary services.
