In addition to preparing human resources and resources at the highest level to ensure infrastructure during and after the storm, Viettel Telecom also implemented many policies to promptly support customers and people in disaster areas. Viettel's customer service system has also been supplemented with additional personnel, incident information and customer support 24/24.

Before the storm made landfall, Viettel Telecom sent warning messages to more than 8 million customers in affected provinces, advising people to fully charge their batteries, prepare food and drinking water, check safe accommodation and limit travel during the storm to ensure their safety and maintain smooth communication. At the same time, the 20% discount program activated in provinces such as Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Hue helps 3.3 million customers in this area prepare accounts to stay in contact during the storm. More than 73,000 customers in flood- isolated areas in Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Lao Cai, Ha Tinh have been contacted by the community with 20,000 VND (equivalent to nearly 1.5 billion VND) in their accounts for 5 days. The policy of postponing the payment of goods to 40,000 customers who are postpaid subscribers has also been implemented to help people feel secure against the storm.
Turning stores into free phone charging points for people
On the morning of September 29, when storms caused widespread power outages, Viettel in Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh provinces and neighboring areas were immediately affected, turning supermarkets and Viettel stores into free phone charging stations.

At charging stations, Viettel has arranged many sockets, backup power sources and has staff on duty to support people. The ultimate goal is to prevent any people from losing connection during this difficult period, helping people feel more secure and maintain communication with their families.
In parallel with the direct support activities at the store, thousands of Viettel technical staff are still staying at hot spots day and night, under the conditions of heavy rain and high floods to fix the problem, determined to maintain a smooth communication network for people.
