On August 2, the People's Committee of Mang Den commune (Quang Ngai province) said that it had advised people not to let bad people take advantage of or occupy public land and forestry land under the management of the State.
According to local authorities, recently there have been many subjects taking advantage of people's lack of legal knowledge to encroach on public land and forestry land.
Common violations include illegal construction on agricultural land and buying and selling of land that does not meet legal requirements according to regulations.
The People's Committee of the commune requires the village team leader and village chief not to sign confirmation of land sale and transfer transactions in handwritten documents when they do not meet the prescribed conditions.

The government warned that violations such as land encroachment and illegal construction can be subject to administrative sanctions or criminal prosecution.
When people have a need to build, they need to contact the Commune People's Committee for instructions on legal procedures, to avoid affecting the planning and development of local tourism.
Recently, Mang Den commune has taken action to handle and dismantle many illegal construction works, restoring order in land use.
Known as "The Second Da Lat", Mang Den is a prominent tourist destination of Quang Ngai province, with a cool climate, fresh natural environment and unique cultural space.
Mang Den National Eco-tourism Area is currently in the process of sustainable development planning, associated with preserving the landscape and local identity.
In recent years, this area has experienced a "land fever", attracting investment in hotels, resorts and tourism services.
