On October 10, iPOS.vn Joint Stock Company launched the Food Business Market Report in Vietnam for the first 6 months of 2025.
The report was compiled based on feedback from more than 830 F&B business owners and more than 1,286 diners in Vietnam with many different ages and occupations. At the same time, the Report uses and refers to data from market research companies as well as prestigious international information sources and experts' opinions.
Notably, according to this report, in the first 6 months of 2025, 34.77% of enterprises maintained stable revenue and 19.21% achieved a growth rate of over 5%, meaning a total of about 53.98% of enterprises maintained stable momentum compared to the same period last year. If compared with the data in the market report for 2024 (compared to 2023), this rate is only 40.2%.
This shows that the picture in 2025 has become brighter, reflecting the fact that many businesses have overcome the most difficult stages of the F&B industry in Vietnam.
However, the pressure is still not small when up to 17.9% of enterprises recorded a serious decline, compared to 14.3% in 2024 (revenue decreased by over 20% compared to the same period last year).
The market picture therefore becomes more differentiated. While the group is stable and growing at most, there are still a significant number of businesses that are falling deep, showing that the gap between units with the ability to adapt and units that operate inefficiently is becoming increasingly clear.
Discussing the report, Mr. Nguyen Do Anh Quan - Brand Director of iPOS.vn also said that in the first half of 2025, 45.3% of F&B enterprises increased product prices - a very notable figure in the context of the F&B industry being sensitive to price fluctuations.
Especially in the affordable and mid-range segments, where customers easily switch to alternative options, price adjustments always have the potential risk of losing customers. However, pressure from raw material costs, labor and operations forces many businesses to take this step.

Another detail that also received attention was that when asked at the end of 2024, only 58.4% of businesses expected to expand in 2025, while this ratio increased to 67.7% when re-surveying in mid-2025 the plan for the last 6 months of the year. In contrast, the rate of enterprises without expansion plans has decreased from 41.6% to 32.3%.
This reflects an important signal that F&B enterprises are more optimistic about market prospects. After a difficult period with escalating costs and eroded profit margins, many businesses have overcome the crisis and are ready to reinvest.
