On April 25, in My Tho City, Tien Giang Provincial Police officially organized the A1 driving license exam.
According to Decision No. 258/QD-CAT-CSGT dated April 22, 2025 of the Director of Tien Giang Provincial Police, the exam will be held for 2 days (25 and 26.4) with the participation of 400 candidates.
This is the first test session after the task of state management of driving licenses was transferred to the police force.

According to regulations, candidates taking the exam must take 2 parts: Theory and driving skills in pictures. For the theory exam, candidates must answer 25 questions on the computer within 19 minutes and must have at least 21/25 correct questions (there is 1 weak point question). The driving skills test in the picture is conducted over 10 minutes, requiring candidates to achieve 80/100 points.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Da - Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Department of Tien Giang Province - said that the transfer of testing and granting driving licenses from the Department of Transport to the Provincial Police Department (Traffic Police Department) was conducted based on Circular No. 12/2025/TT -BCA of the Ministry of Public Security and the guiding documents of the Traffic Police Department.
Tien Giang Provincial Police have completed the legal basis, technological infrastructure and connections to organize driver testing in the province. After this first test, we will hold a meeting to learn from experience and organize further tests to facilitate people with a Driver's License.
Regarding the car driver test, Tien Giang Provincial Police will urgently organize it in May 2025. The conditions for preparing for the automobile test have also been basically completed, said Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Da.
