Support for paying Health Insurance/Social Insurance for 6 months for female workers with serious illnesses
The activity "Representing, caring for, protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of female workers through dialogue at the workplace" was held at one of the units, International Pharmaceutical Consulting Company Limited (Hanoi).
Currently, the company has 139 female employees, accounting for about 70% of the total number of employees of the Company. The dialogue was chaired by Mr. Ha Hong Phuc - Deputy General Director of International Pharmaceutical Consulting Company Limited, representing workers and Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Van - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of International Pharmaceutical Consulting Company Limited, representing workers.
At the dialogue, through the process of collecting opinions from workers, the Company's Trade Union compiled and proposed the following contents: First, propose a level of support for workers raising children under 6 years old. The proposed support level is 200,000 VND/month/child; Second, organize training courses on health care, beauty, soft skills... for female workers 1 year/time; Third, have a policy to support paying health insurance/Social insurance for 6 months for female workers with serious illnesses or long-term treatment who have to stay home; Fourth, buy Bao Viet health insurance for female workers to increase medical examination and treatment benefits (insurance package under Bao Viet's program); Fifth, in addition to organizing periodic post-production check-ups for female workers every year, check some specialized indicators for women such as thyroid ultrasound, cancer screening, examination and psychological health consultation after giving birth or raising young children such as assessment of stress level, depression, sleep deprivation and other psychological disorders.
To make the proposals convincing, the Executive Committee of the Company's Trade Union gave very convincing grounds and arguments. For example, in the first proposal, the Trade Union stated that the company currently has 139 female employees, accounting for about 70% of the total number of employees of the company. Although the economy is currently facing difficulties and orders have decreased (at the time of the dialogue), the company is still basically stable. If the company's leaders meet this proposal, the encouragement will be huge, and workers will also see the humanity of the employer and will stick with the company.
The company's Trade Union also said that it has consulted with a number of units in Quang Minh Industrial Park and provided figures proving that many units are implementing this content well. In the third proposal, according to the Trade Union, from the reality of visiting and caring for female workers in the factory, it shows that there are cases where female workers have to undergo long-term treatment, have difficulties in family living expenses and raising young children.
Workers at this time are in great need of financial support. If the Company has a policy of paying Social Insurance/Health Insurance for workers during the leave period, it will be a great encouragement and will certainly create trust, gratitude, especially the desire to stick with the workers...
After the discussion and dialogue were frank, open, democratic, in accordance with the procedures and contents prescribed by law as well as the democratic regulations at the grassroots level, employers and the collective of employees agreed on the dialogue contents and implementation measures. Accordingly, with the proposed support level for workers raising children under 6 years old, the proposed support level is 100,000 VND/month/child. Organize training courses on health care, beauty, soft skills... for female workers every year.
There is a reasonable work arrangement policy to support paying 6-month Health Insurance/Social Insurance for female workers with serious illnesses or long-term treatment who have to stay home. Buying Bao Viet health insurance for female employees who have been with the company for more than 5 years depending on their job position to receive increased medical examination and treatment benefits (insurance package under Bao Viet's program).
In addition to organizing periodic Obstetrics and Gynecology examinations for female workers every year, examining a number of specialized indicators for women such as thyroid ultrasound, cancer screening, postpartum health examination and consultation or raising young children such as assessing the level of stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia and other psychological disorders... according to the annual plan of the company and the Executive Committee of the Trade Union.
