According to Ms. Nguyen, when she became pregnant and informed the company, she was supported by the company with 1 million VND/month and enjoyed this policy for 12 months from the time of pregnancy according to the company's benefits. When she gave birth, she also received a gift of 2 million VND from the company.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu - President of the Sapuwa Company's Trade Union - said that male employees of the company whose wives are pregnant also enjoy the above benefits. In addition to the above benefits, female employees of the company are also honored and given gifts on the occasion of March 8 and October 20 every year, given a quarterly shopping voucher worth 300,000 VND (if they work for 3 months), and receive beauty services during working hours such as shampooing, hair dyeing, manicure, facial massage, and free haircut 3 times/month by the company's female beauticians.

Ms. Phan Thi Bich Hao - Customer Service Department employee of Sapuwa Company - said that she also regularly uses beauty services for women organized by the company because it saves money, time, and gives peace of mind.

Include benefits for female workers in collective labor agreements

Ms. Pham Thi Hong Ha, Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Saigon Food Joint Stock Company (Vinh Loc Industrial Park) informed that the company has 1,870 employees, of which 60% are female and the percentage of female employees with small children is 30%.

The company also has many preferential policies for female workers such as ensuring jobs and stable income for female workers during pregnancy and child rearing; female workers who are pregnant from the 7th month onwards and have children under 12 months old can go home 1 hour early each day and receive full salary; female workers who give birth are given gifts, money for visiting and encouragement by the company. In particular, the company and the union also maintain a "Breastfeeding Mother" Club in the company that sells discounted porridge products to female workers with children under 36 months old.

At Printing Joint Stock Company No. 7 (Tan Tao Industrial Park, Ho Chi Minh City), according to Mr. Truong Hoang Tam, Chairman of the Trade Union, the company's collective labor agreement also stipulates a subsidy of VND300,000/month for female employees raising children from 7 months to 5 years old, a subsidy of VND1,000,000/month for female employees on maternity leave, and gynecological examinations for female employees twice a year.

Ms. Huynh Thi Ngoc Lien - Head of the Women's Union of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation - said that the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation at all levels has many activities to care for female workers such as mobilizing all social resources to care for children of union members and workers, organizing and promoting models such as "Nguyen Duc Canh Scholarship", "Thanh Da Summer Camp", "Breastfeeding Room", "Warm Kitchen, Delicious Rice", "Bicycles with Children to School"...

In particular, the grassroots unions have negotiated, dialogued and included in the collective labor agreements many provisions that are more beneficial to female workers such as support for accommodation, gasoline, financial subsidies for female workers raising young children, and milk money support... Many grassroots unions and direct superiors coordinate with service providers in the "Union member welfare" program...
