To allow workers to access the cultural industry

Linh Nguyên |

Building and improving the spiritual life of workers is always concerned. But perhaps it is time, besides mass art programs, to create conditions for those who directly create wealth for society to enjoy professional culture.

Professional art enhances inspiration

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy has been attached to May 10 Corporation - JSC for 29 years. In 2026, when the Youth Theater staged the play "Southern Military Zone", she and her colleagues were organized by the Corporation to go to see it. This is an activity organized by the Corporation and May 10 Trade Union in a series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of May 10's establishment (1946 - 2026). Nearly 450 officials, employees and relatives were taken by the Corporation's car to the Youth Theater to watch the play. Ms. Thuy shared with her that this is truly a very meaningful and emotional activity. "As a worker who has been attached to May 10 for nearly 30 years, I clearly feel the concern of the leaders of the Corporation and the Trade Union for the spiritual life of officials and employees. From renting the entire theater, arranging 8 shuttle buses to the leaders directly attending with employees, all show thoughtfulness and respect for each official and employee" - Ms. Thuy said.

What impressed Ms. Thuy the most was the values that the play brought. The stories about a generation of Hanoi youth with ideals, living responsibly with their families and the country, have aroused national pride, fostered love for their homeland and country and helped us further appreciate the sacrifices of previous generations. Those are very real emotions, very difficult to get if only accessed through books, newspapers or social networks. Most of the people who came to the Theater that day were direct production workers, who are daily attached to the sewing line and work at the workshop, so not everyone has the conditions to come to the Theater to enjoy professional art programs. Therefore, the trip to see the play is truly a meaningful spiritual gift, helping everyone relax, regenerate energy after working hours and have more beautiful experiences with colleagues and relatives.

In recent years, the Hanoi Labor Federation has organized a number of art programs to show gratitude to cadres and union members with outstanding achievements. One of them is the "Love Song for You" program, which is elaborately staged and has high artistic value with the participation of artists who are loved by many audiences such as: Soobin Hoang Son, Lan Nha, Giang Hong Ngoc, Thuy Dung. Professional and famous singers not only bring cadres and union members of the Capital moments of sublimation but also help them meet their idols in real life. Union members present at the "Love Song for You" program said that the "Singing for Workers - Listening to Workers Sing" programs organized by the Trade Union have improved their spiritual life after stressful working hours, while "Love Song for You" makes emotions surge and makes them want to aim for a higher appreciation...

As an element in corporate culture

Reality shows that very few businesses organize for workers to enjoy professional art. While the demand of workers is increasing, perhaps it is time for allowing workers to access cultural industries to be considered one of the factors of corporate culture. In addition, businesses and trade unions need to accompany and raise the level of enjoyment for workers. Because if only workers are involved, it will not be possible because economic conditions are still not without difficulties.

Returning to the story of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy, May 10 Corporation - JSC, she confided: What I really appreciate is that May 10 has maintained the concern for the spiritual life of workers at a high level for many years. “I still remember in 2012, the Corporation organized an art exchange program with musician Phu Quang and many famous artists right at May 10 headquarters. Such programs always leave many beautiful emotions and are expected by workers......

Ms. Thuy hopes that in the coming time, the Corporation will continue to organize many cultural and artistic activities so that employees have the opportunity to access quality artistic values. Because according to her, this is not only an activity to care for spiritual life but also a very effective way to build corporate culture. When employees are cared for, inspired and share good values together, they will love the business more, be attached to the business and have more motivation to contribute.
