When talking about the example of young workers at Hon Gai Mechanical Joint Stock Company - Vinacomin, many people often immediately mention Mr. Pham Van Trung - a 5/7 level mechanic. In 2024, Mr. Trung researched and installed centrifugal grid balancers - used for centrifuges in coal screening systems.
Previously, the company imported 3 types of centrifugal nets corresponding to the processing of different products, each installation required 2 to 4 people, taking a lot of adjustment time. Starting from this reality, Mr. Trung and his colleagues researched, researched, and manufactured dynamic balancers, integrating all 3 types of centrifugal nets into one.
Previously, Mr. Trung owned 4 other initiatives, in which the transit price initiative for the roller production line was part of the "75,000 initiatives to overcome difficulties and develop" launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
With initiatives and production rationalization, in 2025, Mr. Trung was appointed by the Company's Board of Directors to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Mechanical Team.
Talking to a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Trung shared: "The company's leadership's point of view is to use the skills and creativity of workers to position the company's brand. Therefore, the initiatives of workers and employees are always valued by the leadership.
Mr. Trung also added that the company is modernizing factories, investing in many modern equipment such as: spring production lines, stretching mesh, rollers, cutting machines, CNC machines... Therefore, workers themselves must also update their knowledge to master science and technology, and propose solutions to rationalize production so that the production lines operate as efficiently as possible.
With creative efforts, worker Pham Van Trung has been included in the list of typical advanced collectives and individuals studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style in the Trade Union organization in the period 2023 - 2025 to propose to the Standing Committee of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to commend him in the series of activities of Workers' Month 2026 and celebrate the Vietnam Trade Union Congress for the 2026 - 2031 term.

On the occasion of Workers' Month 2026, on May 7, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation organized a conference to summarize 5 years of implementing Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW of the Politburo on continuing to implement Directive 05-CT/TW; commending typical advanced examples in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style.
According to a report by the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, the movement to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style has truly gone deeper, becoming a regular task of trade union levels and union members and workers in the city. Many grassroots trade unions have been, are and will continue to design and build the Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space with visual forms, models, and practical products such as: Building columns "Learning and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style", "Learning corner following Uncle Ho" at enterprises.
In Ho Chi Minh City, Trade Union levels have built 1,956 Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space facilities and 2,044 bookshelves with thousands of books of all kinds, combined with QR code scanning. This is a typical creative approach of the City Trade Union to bring Uncle Ho's ideology, ethics, and style into workers' lives in a lively and close way.
Attending the conference, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - Thai Thu Xuong acknowledged and highly appreciated the outstanding results that officials, union members, and workers of Ho Chi Minh City have achieved in the past time. The Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union is one of the pioneering units, not only stopping at "learning" but also strongly shifting to "following" with practical actions, going deeper, becoming a regular task, contributing to effectively spreading the values of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style.
To make studying and following Uncle Ho continue to go deeper, the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union needs to focus on implementing a number of key tasks such as: setting solid examples from Trade Union officials, especially heads; continuing to maintain and promote the study of Uncle Ho's spirit of respecting the people and being close to the people, building the style of Trade Union officials to always be "close to the grassroots, close to workers"; continuing to include the content of following Uncle Ho in the content of Trade Union activities every day, associated with the emulation movement "Good labor, creative labor"; innovating propaganda methods through digital technology to bring Uncle Ho's ideology, ethics, and style closer to direct production workers..." - Ms. Thai Thu Xuong said.

The Draft Report of the Executive Committee of the 13th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor at the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, term 2026 - 2031 sets out the requirements: "Continue to strongly innovate the content and methods of propaganda, education, and mobilization in a proactive, timely, persuasive and effective direction, ensuring the principle of "Fast - Short - Deep - Clear". Promote two-way interaction, putting workers at the center; combine tradition and modernity, direct and online; strongly apply digital technology, artificial intelligence, and social networks in propaganda, education and mobilization.
Taking political and ideological education as the basis, legal education, cultural behavior and industrial style are fundamental. Strengthening propaganda and political and ideological education associated with promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style, contributing to improving political bravery, aspirations for development, spirit of solidarity, awareness of law compliance, labor discipline, working style, and consolidating the belief of union members and workers in the Party, State, regime and Trade Union organization".
At a meeting with workers in Ho Chi Minh City on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026) and the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2026), General Secretary and President To Lam shared: "Our country is entering a new stage of development with many opportunities but also many difficulties and challenges.
