Sharing difficulties with flood victims
In recent days, Typhoon Yagi has caused severe damage in many provinces in the North. To share the difficulties with people in flooded areas, many artists have contributed, transferring from hundreds of millions to billions of VND, including singer Ha Anh Tuan who donated 1 billion VND. In just a few days, more than 60 artists working in many fields have donated cash through the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and social organizations.
On social networks, images of money transfers to support accounts for people in provinces and cities affected by Typhoon Yagi were widely shared. Artists Ha Anh Tuan, Tung Duong, Ho Ngoc Ha, Thanh Hang, Uyen Linh, Quoc Thien, Duc Phuc, Hoa Minzy, Toc Tien, Ninh Duong Lan Ngoc, Rhyder, Quang Hung MasterD, Tran Thanh... all donated large sums of money, sending messages wishing people peace and to soon overcome difficulties.
On his personal page, actor Dai Nghia shared that he sold gold and personal assets, and together with close friends and colleagues, contributed to preparing supplies and necessities to send to people in the North. He did not publicly call for donations, but together with close friends prepared thousands of life jackets, banh chung, and instant noodles to send to Thai Nguyen and Yen Bai.
Without delay, many artists in Hanoi have set off. Singer Thai Thuy Linh, with many years of volunteer experience, and a team of volunteers have urgently purchased goods, food, carried goods, and counted them to provide them to the people in a timely manner. She is also a rare artist who stands up to collect donations and receive support from the audience and continuously livestreams to assign and direct the volunteer team to work smoothly and coordinate smoothly. Coming to Bao Yen, Lao Cai, where a serious landslide has just occurred, actress Thuy Anh recounted that the roads were slippery, prone to landslides, making it difficult to enter the villages. Singer Bang Kieu, having just landed at the airport, quickly arrived in Yen Bai to help the people.
Meritorious Artist Kieu Anh also rushed to buy life jackets, spare batteries, and flashlights in large quantities to supply people in Thai Nguyen. At noon on September 10, Kieu Anh and a volunteer convoy returned to Thai Nguyen to provide relief to isolated areas where people had been hungry and thirsty for several days because they could not go out.
Sharing with Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Meritorious Artist Kieu Anh expressed: "Before coming to Thai Nguyen, my group contacted the local government, provincial youth union and Red Cross Society. I went to any place that was accessible, and if not, I would send relief supplies back. My group delivered about 2 times to each house. People thought it wouldn't rain, but the next day it rained heavily. Luckily, we were still able to deliver food to the people. In Thai Nguyen, areas with whirlpools and water up to the 2nd floor made it very difficult for authorities to access.
The day I arrived in Thai Nguyen, it was sunny, I still remember the water level had dropped 30cm in the morning, the people were less panicked. For the places that were inaccessible, I sent the supplies back to the Provincial Party Committee so that the authorities and military forces here could divide and distribute them to the people. When there are enough raincoats or food, they will stop receiving relief supplies so that the groups can move to other provinces."
Arriving at the heavily flooded areas, Kieu Anh understood the hardships and difficulties of the people when suffering the severe consequences of natural disasters. She recounted the time she went to support the people, when she returned it rained and the water rose. Kieu Anh's group had just left the heavily flooded areas, the water rose and flowed rapidly. The trip gave the actress more experience to continue bringing relief goods to support the people in Tuyen Quang.
"What we do is really small compared to everyone else. Everyone is doing their best to help their fellow countrymen. I am just one of them. I am touched by everyone's efforts and solidarity. That effort is the most important thing, not how much money you contribute," Kieu Anh confided.
Spread kindness
When you want to contribute your part and spread love, there are always many ways to show it. That is the beautiful action of People's Artist Xuan Bac's family when he and his children went to the streets to clean up trees after the storm passed. Or singer Ho Ngoc Ha donated 100 million VND, donated revenue from the upcoming song "The Magic Lamp", contacted a number of organizations to contribute more, and connected with special cases in need of help.
Many singers such as Lan Ngoc, Bang Kieu, Soobin Hoang Son and their fans also donated money to help people overcome the consequences of the storm. Actress Quynh Luong's family in Tam Nong, Phu Tho used their home to shelter students from the storm.
Meanwhile, MC Thao Van, Hoa Minzy and colleagues continuously updated and shared information, acting as a bridge between individuals and organizations in donation and relief activities. Miss H'Hen Nie said that after harvesting rice in her hometown of Dak Lak, she and her family donated all 700kg of rice and shipped it to the North. After that, the beauty contributed an additional 100 million VND in cash, planning to go to the North to support people in flooded areas in Bac Giang and Lang Son.
Singer Pha Le said she was anxious and helpless when she could not support people affected by natural disasters. Later, the singer shared that she "scoured" her savings and sent 10 million VND to the Vietnam Fatherland Front. Singer Ngoc Son even borrowed 30 million VND to save enough 100 million VND to share with people after Typhoon Yagi.
During the days when the whole country turned to the North, humane stories were spread, and everyone's material and spiritual contributions were valuable. That demonstrated the spirit of solidarity, sharing, and "the whole leaf covers the torn leaf" of the nation.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, MC Thao Van said that she could not help but feel heartbroken when witnessing the difficult circumstances and deprived lives of the people and soldiers struggling with natural disasters. She herself has been closely following the situation since the days when Typhoon Yagi made landfall, continuously calling on benefactors, gathering contacts, finding transport units to "do everything possible".
Talking about the role of artists in spreading and connecting good values, MC Thao Van said: "At this time, the spread of artists and celebrities is very important and meaningful. Each artist has a following, if they stand up to call for support, connect units, the relief process can take place faster and more effectively. Because the audience already knows and trusts those artists, the spirit of mutual love will be spread more widely. I think that is the advantage of influential people. At the present time, we support our compatriots as quickly as possible.
In recent days, I have been very touched to see many artists donate large sums of money to help people in flooded areas. That shows the sense of community and the solidarity of artists when people are in difficulty. It can be seen that everyone can contribute, no matter how small, but all towards their fellow countrymen, sharing in times of hardship and misfortune."
The artists' beautiful gestures not only contribute to spreading kindness, warming the hearts of people in flooded areas and inspiring the community, but are also practical actions to help minimize damage caused by storms and floods, helping people in flooded areas overcome the most difficult days.
