On the first day of November 2024, Mr. Nguyen Van Quan - Technical Department, QTNP Garment Joint Stock Company (Long Bien District, Hanoi) - received a call from Hospital 108. A woman who was urgently needed. Without hesitation, like many times before, Mr. Quan immediately went to the hospital to share his precious drops of blood group B - the drops of blood carrying both human love and life.
Mr. Quan began the journey to donate blood volunteering since 2012. The last time he donated blood was March 30.2025. Up to now, he has more than 200 times of blood donation and platelets. Not only participating in blood donations organized by the company, trade union or ward, he is also willing to leave to the hospitals whenever someone needs it.
Not stopping there, Mr. Quan regularly participates in platelets - a job that requires health and perseverance. Particularly in 2024, he had 18 platelet donation, and in 2025, he was determined to continue to complete that "KPI" full of humane. When asked if he was concerned that regular blood donation would affect his health, he smiled and shared that he was carefully consulted by the doctor about the blood regeneration mechanism, so he was completely assured and always ready to give away.
What makes people more and more affectionate in the UK, that is the volunteer heart without self -interest. Although after each blood donation, he received a small gift and a support of 50,000 VND, but he always spent all that money to continue doing charity - extending the journey to share love.
Not only actively participating in blood donation, Mr. Quan is also an inspiration, regularly mobilizing and encouraging colleagues, workers in the company to participate in this meaningful activity, so that those beautiful gestures are spreading widely, touching more hearts. Sunday, April 13, Mr. Quan will continue to go to platelet donation at the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion.
Workers are always ready to donate blood voluntarily
Voluntary blood donation movement is increasingly enthusiastically responded by every worker. Although they are still very difficult, many people have to borrow and overtime to have money to cover family life, but they understand in society many people need blood for life. Therefore, they are willing to give their own blood drops without calculating.
As at Meiko Vietnam Electronics Co., Ltd., in 2024, the company coordinated with the 108 Military Central Hospital to organize 2 "Meiko Pink Blood Drops Festival 2024" and had nearly 800 union members, workers registered and participated in blood donation.
This result was achieved thanks to the propaganda and mobilization of the company's grassroots trade union for nearly 2 months and especially the opportunity for union members and workers to donate blood during the company's working hours.
In addition to propagating and mobilizing union members and workers to register and participate in voluntary blood donation, the grassroots union also supports all costs for this activity.
Or most recently, at the end of March, the 2025 Voluntary Blood Donation Festival of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers in Ba Dinh district took place with more than 700 registrants participating.
According to Ms. Le Thi Thuy Kieu - Vice President of the Ba Dinh District Labor Federation, in recent years, the "voluntary Blood Donation Day" among workers and civil servants in the district has been organized regularly and regularly, becoming a regular activity with many humanitarian meanings for the community.
