Discussing the organization of free health check-ups and consultations for officials, employees, and laborers on the occasion of Workers' Month, Mr. Dinh Sy Dat - Chairman of Hoan Kiem Ward Trade Union said that the Ward Trade Union coordinated with BCC Pharma Joint Stock Company to implement a program of free health check-ups and consultations for more than 2,000 union members, employees, and laborers with a total support value of up to about 5 billion VND.
This is a practical activity, showing the spirit of social responsibility, the companionship and sharing of businesses with the Trade Union organization and workers in the ward. Through this coordination, union members and workers will have more conditions to access quality health care services, be consulted on disease prevention solutions, improve physical condition and improve quality of life.
At the same time, the program also contributes to strengthening the close relationship between the Trade Union organization and businesses in implementing social security activities, for the practical benefit of union members and workers.
Along with the program of free health check-ups and consultations for union members, civil servants, public employees, and workers, the Hoan Kiem Ward Trade Union organized the signing of a cooperation agreement to implement the welfare program "Healthcare for union members, civil servants, public employees, and workers" for the period 2026 - 2029 between the Hoan Kiem Ward Trade Union and BCC Pharma Joint Stock Company. This approach has brought many specific benefits to union members and workers.
Artificial intelligence application for free cervical cancer screening for female workers
The free health check-up program for workers organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation will take place on Saturdays and Sundays in May 2026 at 7 locations including: Ho Chi Minh City Labor Culture Palace, Binh Trung campus, High-Tech Park, Cu Chi campus, Thuan An campus, Ben Cat campus, Thu Dau Mot campus and Vung Tau campus.
Each day, it is expected to serve about 900 workers participating in health check-ups and consultations. According to the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, the total number of workers expected to participate in the program is more than 12,000 people, along with about 2,600 union members children participating in entertainment and care activities during parents' medical examinations. Especially the program to apply artificial intelligence in cervical cancer screening through a coordinating unit, NTD AI Healthcare JSC.
In the first examination session held on May 9, 900 female union members and workers were propagated and consulted on reproductive health and free cervical cancer screening using artificial intelligence. The application of AI in disease screening helps shorten the time, only 3-5 minutes/person.
Clear images, good resolution, help doctors observe and recognize abnormalities in the uterus more easily. This method is suitable for centralized examinations with a large number of patients.
Each union member and worker was also given a voucher worth 150,000 VND to buy goods at trade union welfare booths. In addition, 200 children of union members and workers who came along were also given each gift voucher worth 50,000 VND.
Over the past time, the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union has been drastic in directing the implementation of a program of in-depth health checks and occupational diseases for workers, especially workers working in high-risk enterprises. One of the notable contents is that the City Labor Federation will coordinate with medical facilities to conduct health checks and cervical cancer screening for female workers.
