18 teams participate in the football tournament for workers and civil servants

On the afternoon of September 22, the Standing Committee of the Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor (BLF) organized the opening ceremony of the 5th men's football tournament for workers and civil servants in 2024.

Attending the program were leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Giang province, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Giang province; leaders of the Labor Federation of Bac Giang province.

This year's tournament has 18 teams from the Labor Federations of 10 districts, cities and towns; 7 industry unions, the Provincial Civil Servants' Union, the Provincial Industrial Parks Union and the Provincial Tax Department's Grassroots Union.

In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung - Permanent Vice President of the Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor said that the tournament aims to motivate, encourage, promote and develop the sports movement among union members and workers, contributing to improving the health, sense of discipline and collective spirit of workers and civil servants; at the same time, creating a beneficial and healthy playground and creating conditions for cadres, union members and workers to have the opportunity to exchange, learn, and build solidarity and close relationships between units.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, two matches took place in Group A: the Provincial Civil Servants' Union team met the Hiep Hoa District Labor Federation and Group B: the Tan Yen District Labor Federation team met the Industry and Trade Union.

The 5th Men's Football Tournament for Workers and Civil Servants - 2024 took place in an exciting competitive atmosphere of trade unions at all levels, with a large number of union members, workers and civil servants, and laborers, together with the people of Bac Giang province, organizing many activities to celebrate the 129th anniversary of the founding of Bac Giang province (October 10, 1895 - October 10, 2024) and the 78th anniversary of the founding of Bac Giang Provincial Trade Union (December 1, 1946 - December 1, 2024).
