On the evening of January 10, the Bac Giang Provincial Labor Federation coordinated with agencies, units, enterprises, cooperatives, and business households to organize the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Dang" associated with the 2025 Trade Union Tet Market program for workers.
Attending the event were Mr. Nguyen Van Bac - Member of the Executive Committee, Head of the Finance Department of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Nguyen Van Canh - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Bac Giang Provincial Labor Federation.
At the program, there were about 60 enterprises, cooperatives, and business households participating with 100 booths; enterprises, cooperatives, and business households committed to selling good quality products and goods at preferential prices; more than 20 units, enterprises, and business households donated goods to the 0 VND booth for workers.
At the program, the Bac Giang Provincial Labor Federation allocated funds to directly donate 200 Tet gifts to workers in difficult circumstances (worth 800,000 VND/gift) and 100 bus tickets for workers from far away to return home for Tet; and provided funding to support the construction of "Union Shelters" for 9 union members (total value of 320 million VND).
Within the framework of the program (taking place over 3 days, from January 10-12), there are also many meaningful activities such as: Lucky draw; Banh Chung wrapping contest and Tet fruit tray display, folk dance, sack jumping, tug of war; "singing for workers - listening to workers sing"; legal advice...
Mr. Le Duc Tho - Vice Chairman of the Bac Giang Provincial Labor Federation - said that taking care of the material and spiritual life of workers and employees is a core activity of the Trade Union, especially during the traditional Tet holiday of the nation.
Through these activities, union members and employees have been motivated to work productively, with quality, effectively, and to be attached to the enterprise, supporting the enterprise to develop more and more sustainably; strengthening the trust and connection between union members and employees and the Trade Union organization.
According to Mr. Le Duc Tho, in recent years, the Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor and trade unions at all levels in the province have regularly organized the Tet Sum Vay Program for union members and workers.
The Tet Sum Vay Program has become an annual activity that bears the mark of the Trade Union. At the Tet Sum Vay Program, thousands of union members and workers were given gifts and bus tickets; hundreds of free bus trips were organized for workers living far away to return home for Tet as well as to welcome them back to work after the Tet holiday, funds were given to support housing for the Trade Union Shelter, and art programs were organized to celebrate the Party, celebrate spring, sing for workers - listen to workers sing and other folk games.
The Vice President of the Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor added that after 10 years of organization, the Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor has flexibly innovated the way of organizing the Tet Sum vay program with Tet booths, 0-dong booths for workers, along with activities such as health care consultation, legal consultation, organizing dance competitions, folk dance, banh chung wrapping competitions... creating a series of rich activities attracting nearly 100,000 workers to participate, creating a joyful and warm atmosphere spreading during the traditional Tet holiday of the nation...
