On August 18, in Bac Ninh province, the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation organized a conference to exchange and learn trade union activities experience with the working delegation of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation.
At the Conference, delegates watched a report introducing some outstanding results in the Trade Union activities of Bac Ninh province; exchanged and discussed the practice of organizing and operating trade unions, sharing effective models and ways of doing things at the grassroots level.
The exchange and discussion session was chaired by Mr. Thach Van Chung - Member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation and Mr. Luong Trong Thanh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation.
Information at the Conference showed that after a year of operation in the new model, the Bac Ninh Provincial Trade Union organization continued to be consolidated and developed.
Along with that, digital transformation is gradually becoming an important method to innovate the operation of Bac Ninh Trade Union. Bac Ninh Trade Union Management Software (Mini App Bac Ninh Trade Union) will be put into operation from December 2025.
After more than 8 months of implementation, the system has built management data of more than 2,100 grassroots trade unions; 1,925 grassroots trade unions are connected, exploited, and used, reaching over 91%.
The Provincial Labor Federation also initially applied artificial intelligence through ChatBox AI integrated on Zalo Mini App to support officials and union members to look up legal documents and trade union nghiệp vụ...
One of the contents of concern and exchange at the Conference was the experience of developing union members who are foreign workers.
This is the field that Bac Ninh Trade Union has taken positive steps in the process of implementing the new regulations of the 2024 Trade Union Law.
To date, the whole province has 41 grassroots trade unions of FDI enterprises that have admitted 1,283 foreign workers to the Vietnam Trade Union organization, mainly workers of Chinese, Thai and Indian nationality.
Sharing experiences from the grassroots level, Ms. Nguyen Thi Luy - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Fukang Technology Co., Ltd. said that the Company's Trade Union always focuses on coordinating with businesses to build programs to care for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers; organize cultural, artistic, and sports activities; deploy emulation movements for good labor, creative labor, encourage initiatives and improvements, contributing to cost savings and improving production and business efficiency.
From the experience of the Trade Union of Newwing Interconnect Technology Co., Ltd., Ms. Tran Thi Chi - Chairwoman of the Company's Trade Union said that it is important to help both workers and foreign employers correctly identify the role of the Trade Union organization.
Reality at the enterprise shows that, from still having concerns about the role of the Trade Union, through the process of operation, business leaders are increasingly realizing that the Trade Union not only represents, cares for, and protects employees but is also a bridge between employees and employers, contributing to detecting and promptly resolving arising problems, preventing disputes, and maintaining harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.
From the effectiveness of that activity, business leaders have proactively proposed creating conditions for foreign workers to participate in the Vietnam Trade Union organization.
In the first phase, the Company's Trade Union admitted 381 union members who are foreign workers; up to now, there are 433 foreign workers participating in the Trade Union.
Sharing at the Conference from the perspective of employers, Mr. Richard Yao - General Director of Fukang Company thanked the attention, guidance and companionship of the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation, thereby contributing to helping businesses stabilize production and build an integrated and cohesive working environment for workers.
According to Mr. Richard Yao, Fukang is proud to be one of the pioneering enterprises in developing union members who are foreign workers. To date, 841 foreign workers at the Company have officially joined the Trade Union.
Within the framework of the Conference, the Standing Committee of the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation awarded a Certificate of Merit to Mr. Richard Yao - General Director of Fukang Vietnam Factory, a typical foreign employer who made many contributions in mobilizing and creating conditions for foreigners working at enterprises to join the Vietnam Trade Union organization.
The conference to exchange and learn experiences between the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation and the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation is an opportunity for trade union officials of the two provinces to strengthen exchanges and share experiences from practice; and exchange new issues raised in the organization and activities of the Trade Union.
Through this, good models and effective ways of doing things continue to be researched and applied in accordance with the characteristics of each locality, contributing to innovating the content and methods of operation, building an increasingly strong Trade Union organization...
