At the same time, 8 grassroots trade unions (with 20 or more workers) and 58 informal trade unions were established.
Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh - Chairman of the Ben Tre Provincial Federation of Labor said that in 2025, the Trade Union organization will identify developing union members as a key task, both to expand the representation of workers and to serve as a foundation for protecting rights, caring for lives, and promoting emulation movements in enterprises.
In addition to developing quantity, the trade union also focuses on improving the quality of grassroots organizations. 100% of newly elected grassroots union chairmen have participated in professional training and union theory.
The establishment of trade unions in freelance and informal labor groups has also been implemented synchronously, contributing to improving connectivity and better protection for disadvantaged labor groups.
