On March 7, the Trade Union of Industrial and Export Processing Zones (IP&EC) of Can Tho held a meeting to celebrate the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8, 2010 - March 8, 2025), 1,985 years of the Hai Ba Trung uprising.

In addition to reviewing the 115-year tradition of International Women's Day and 1,985 years of the Hai Ba Trung uprising, union members and workers participating in the contest also learned about the historical significance of International Women's Day, the Hai Ba Trung uprising, knowledge about family tricks, looking at predictions with many attractive gifts. Thereby, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere for union members and employees on the occasion of March 8.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee presented 20 gifts from Party and State leaders to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, each consisting of 1 million VND in cash and gift bags of necessities.
From the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund of Can Tho Trade Union, the Organizing Committee also awarded 27 scholarships to children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances with a total value of more than 23 million VND.


Speaking at the conference, Vice President of Can Tho City Labor Federation Nguyen Ngoc Tan congratulated the female union members and workers and hoped that they would continue to enthusiastically produce, promote the good qualities of women, be good at public affairs, take care of housework as well as actively participate in activities launched by the Union.
In the coming time, the Vice President of the Can Tho City Labor Federation hopes that the Can Tho Export Processing and Industrial Zones Management Board will continue to support and create conditions for the Can Tho Export Processing and Industrial Zones Trade Union in activities to care for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers, especially female workers in the Industrial Park.
