On the morning of November 9, the Chien Dan Commune Trade Union held the 1st Commune Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
The Chien Dan Commune Trade Union was established on October 14, 2025 by the Da Nang City Labor Federation, assigned to manage 11 grassroots trade unions with more than 3,600 union members in 3 communes: Chien Dan, Tay Ho and Phu Ninh.
In recent times, the trade union organization has gradually improved the apparatus, implementing many practical activities to care for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers.
Ms. Tran Thi Minh Hieu, Chairwoman of the Chien Dan Commune Trade Union, said: We identify caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights of union members as the central task. The commune trade union will continue to promote emulation movements, building a strong trade union organization, attached to workers".
Commune trade unions and grassroots trade unions regularly organize activities to support union members and workers in difficult circumstances, suffering from serious illnesses, having work accidents, being affected by natural disasters and floods; at the same time, launch a movement to repay gratitude, social activities, and volunteering, which is actively responded to by union members.
The Congress approved the direction and tasks for the 2025 - 2030 term, in which many important targets were set out: striving for 80% of units and enterprises with 15 or more employees to establish grassroots trade unions; 90% of grassroots trade unions of enterprises to negotiate and sign collective labor agreements; and 100% of grassroots trade unions to ensure occupational safety and hygiene.
At the congress, the Da Nang City Labor Federation announced the decision to appoint the Executive Committee of the Chien Dan Commune Trade Union, term I, consisting of 9 members, of which Ms. Tran Thi Minh Hieu was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Chien Dan Commune Trade Union for the 2025 - 2030 term.
