On December 25, the Dak Lak Provincial Federation of Labor informed that in 2024, trade unions at all levels in the province have successfully implemented the "Trade Union Shelter" program.
Thereby, the trade unions at all levels have supported the construction and repair of 127 "Union Shelters" for union members with difficult housing circumstances, with a total support budget of over 5.67 billion VND.
The number of "Union Shelters" deployed in 2024 reached 123% of the target set by the Provincial Federation of Labor Executive Committee.
In 2024, the Provincial Federation of Labor and trade unions at all levels visited and presented gifts to 35,870 union members and workers in difficult circumstances... on the occasions of Workers' Month and Lunar New Year with a total amount of nearly 16 billion VND.
Mr. Le Van Thanh - Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial Labor Federation - said: "The "Union Shelter" housing program has always been of interest to all levels of the provincial labor unions and has been widely supported by union members. Those who receive support are all families in difficult circumstances and have not yet settled down. Thereby, it contributes to demonstrating the important role of the Union organization in the lives of union members and workers."
According to Mr. Thanh, in 2025, trade unions at all levels in the province aim to support funding to build and repair 100 "Union Shelters" for union members with difficult housing circumstances.
