Identifying 3 breakthroughs
The My Tho Ward Trade Union was established under Decision No. 130/QD-LDLD dated September 29, 2025 of the Standing Committee (BTV) of the Provincial Federation of Labor. There are currently 45 grassroots trade unions (CDCS) with 4,256 union members.
This is a new organizational model, demonstrating innovation in thinking, improving the effectiveness of representation, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers in the conditions of two-level government.
Immediately after its establishment, the Ward Trade Union Executive Committee quickly stabilized its organization, developed operating regulations, assigned specific tasks to each member; proactively grasped the situation of grassroots trade union activities and the thoughts and moods of union members and workers (DV, NLD) at enterprises.
The trade union organization actively implements the contents of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor, models to the grassroots trade unions to care for and protect the legitimate and legal rights of union members and employees.
Entering the 2025 - 2030 term, My Tho Ward Trade Union has identified the general goal: Innovation in content and methods of operation in a flexible and creative direction, strong application of digital transformation in management; Effective implementation of the task of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers; Completing the organizational model, building a strong, compact and strong team of union officials; building a strong, comprehensive Vietnam Trade Union, modern and strong working class in the new era; accompanying the Party Committee and ward government in implementing socio-economic development goals.
3 breakthroughs are identified including: Promoting the application of information technology, digital transformation in union activities, union management, propaganda and organization of documentless conferences; Developing unions, establishing new grassroots unions in non-state enterprises; Breakthrough in improving the quality of dialogue, collective bargaining and caring for union welfare.
The conference set out 15 specific targets and 05 tasks and solutions.
Continue to operate effectively
Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the Ward Union in the past time; suggested that in the coming time, the Executive Committee and Executive Committee of the Ward Union pay attention to innovating the organization and methods of operation; perform well the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of members and employees; regularly close to the grassroots, close to members and employees to grasp legitimate concerns and aspirations to propose effective and practical operational solutions.
Along with that, continue to focus on propaganda work; perform well the function of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers and employees.
My Tho Ward Party Secretary Ngo Huynh Quang Thai suggested that the Ward Union mobilize members and employees to actively participate in building a strong Party and political system; perform well as a representative and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of members and employees; continue to promote the effective implementation of emulation movements associated with the implementation of the ward's socio-economic development programs.
The Ward Party Secretary believes that the Executive Committee and Standing Committee of the new term Ward Trade Union will uphold their responsibility; focus their intelligence and enthusiasm to effectively implement the goals and tasks set by the conference.
At the conference, the Standing Committee of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor announced the Decision to appoint the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Inspection Committee and key positions of the My Tho Ward Trade Union, term I, 2025 - 2030. Accordingly, comrade Nguyen Thuy Thuy Chau was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the My Tho Ward Trade Union, term I.
